Community Policing

Community Policing is a large part of most of our agencies. As we deal with the public every day, we must strive to be the best professionals we can. At Lenawee County, we teach the importance of being proactive, not reactive. This is accomplished by making ourselves visible in the communities. Stopping by sporting events at the schools, getting involved with community events such as, parades, Lenawee County Fair, speaking engagements. In our core values, it specifically states treating the community through respect and integrity. We have two major events in our County each year at MIS. Faster Horses, and the August NASCAR race. In both, our officers along with Cambridge Twp., Jackson County Sheriff office, and MSP, are responsible for ensuring the more than 60,000 attendees have a safe and enjoyable experience when they are here.
